AUDITIONS
The best part is the laughs.
The worst part is we can't do anything else.
We audition once a semester, if you make it through we'll take you on as a Probationary Member (Probe) for a semester. During this semester, we'll make cuts. If you make it to the end you'll become a Permanent Member on the troupe (Perm).
Process
During auditions, we evaluate based on stage presence, enthusiasm, and how well you play with others. During the semester, we cut based on how well you're learning the skills, and how well you can play with others on the troupe.

Starts: 7:00 PM
Latest End: 11:00 PM
Auditions are held the Wednesday following MSC Open House. They'll be a QR code when you walk in. Scan it and fill out the Google Form.
Details
We do not have a quota on new members. It is possible for everyone or for no one that auditions to be taken on as a new member.
Quota
No prior improv or acting experience is required to audition. We are looking for people who are comfortable on stage, able to work well with others, willing to learn, and want to have fun. The best advice is "have fun; don't be funny", and to work with the people in your scenes and not against them. The auditions consist of a few improv activities then a round of cuts. If you do not make it past a round of cuts, you are free to leave. You can audition again next semester. The cuts will continue until we are satisfied with the remaining people.
Experience
As a Probationary Member, you'll come to practices and learn improv games and skills. During the semester we'll evaluate how well you're learning and working on feedback. We will give you notes on what we think you can improve on. If you make it to the end of the semester, you'll re-audition to be a Permanent Member, and if you make it in, congrats! You're a forever member of the best improv troupe in the world!
Probationary Semester
We practice 7PM - 9PM on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday We expect members to attend all practices to the best of their ability.
